CHEF JACQUES
Chef Jacques Saleun
Jacques Saleun, the Chef and owner of Château du Lac, has enjoyed success in world-class milieus of Paris, New York, and New Orleans. His classical French training began at the age of 15 in Brittany, France where he was born. Over the next 20 years, Chef Jacques worked his way up through the ranks of four-star Parisian kitchens before moving to the United States. After moving from New York City, in April 2005, Jacques opened Château du Lac. Our restaurant has received Tom Fitzmorris’ acclaim as one of Greater New Orleans’ best new restaurants, has enjoyed 95% repeat business and already outgrown its original location.
In January 2008, Chef Jacques opened his new, expanded location of Château du Lac in Old Metairie. The menu includes a full range of traditional French masterpieces, including numerous specialty escargots, with a pinch of Chef Jacques’ delightful originality. You may again enjoy Chef Jacques Saleun’s classic French lunch and dinner cuisine, wine list, house-made desserts and warm ambiance at our beautiful new location at 2037 Metairie Road, (504) 831-3773.
